Inscriptions

We treat Inscriptions in the same way Manuscripts and only add in <objectDesc> the value Inscription for @form.

The same guidelines as for manuscripts apply here but you can do even better if you make your inscription record validate also to the EpiDoc schema, which will allow interchange of files with other EpiDoc projects.

Text encoding is done in the same way, although in the EpiDoc guidelines you might find more specific details about the encoding of inscriptions texts.

It is generally enough to encode the text of the inscription in the file, but there are cases in which you might need to separate the content from the support description, in which case, simply use a work record for the content and place there the edition of the text.
