The note is written in a trained hand; it describes a rich donation to the church of Qǝfrǝyā made by King Sayfa ʾĀrʿad (r. 1344-71) and others. The hand appears old, but it is questionable if it can be dated to Sayfa ʾĀrʿad’s period. -

The Epistle of Eusebius to Carpianus (generic record) (CAe 1349) , on three pages, is misplaced. The first two pages run between check the viewerfols 7r–7v, the third is on check the viewerfol. 2r . The letter is placed under brightly coloured arches that rest on curtained columns . Several birds are placed atop the arches, facing towards the keystone. The opening check the viewerfol. 7r features, as conventional, a pair of peacocks, and two parrots. The inscriptions are badly damaged, but it is just possible to make out [ ጣዎስ፡] next to the peacock to the right and ዱራ፡ next to the parrot to the left. The remaining two pages, which would have originally been juxtaposed, feature a symmetrical compositions of long-neck birds. The captions are no longer intelligible.

The Canon Tables run between check the viewerfols 2v–5v . The artists adopts the same decorative devices used to frame the preceding letter. The tables are placed under brightly coloured arches that rest on curtained columns . A number of floral elements and birds , placed symmetrically, are placed atop the arches, namely. The ones on check the viewer3v–4r are labelled as ጢር፡ and ከራዊያ፡; those on check the viewer4v–5r as ጢር፡ and ዱራ፡. The only legible label on check the viewer5v identifies one of the birds as a ጕዕራ፡.

A representation of the Tempietto follows, as is conventional, the Eusebian Apparatus. Highly stylized, it features six columns , an pattern, a , and a low chancel. The convex lines of the roof terminate in a shaped element. Plants and animals, symmetrically arranged around the building , evoke the garden of Paradise. These include numerous birds (ዱራ፡ ሰገን፡ ጢር፡ ጕዕራ፡), two antelopes, each identified as ባቡላ፡, and two trees, labelled as ዕፀ፡ ገነት።.

The Crucifixion of Jesus miniature features an Empty Cross topped by the Lamb of God . Above it is an arch, decorated with an interlace pattern framed by coloured bands, and resting on a lintel supported by two columns . A number of colourful birds are perched between the acroteria and small tendrils that sprout above the arch, of which two are identified as ዱራ፡. It is possible that there were other captions next to the other birds, but they are not readable. Noteworthy, are the white birds (doves?) placed inside the cirmicircular panel inside the arch. The cross of the Crucifixion is jeweled. At its sides are the Sun and Moon , with anthropomorphic features. The Two Thieves , are bearded, turn their gaze upwards, and have their hands and legs bound to their crosses. The one to the right is identified by captions as ፈያታይ፡ ፀጋም፡ the caption near the one to the left is not entirely legible, but it probably originally read <ፈ> ያታ<ይ፡ ዘየማን፡> . Stephaton and Longinus, who wear pointed caps, do not hold their conventional attributes. The latter is painted frontally, whereas the former looks at the cross. The medallion beneath the arch bears the inscription: Legend: ( gez ) ነዋ፡ በግዑ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ዘያአትት፡ ኀጢአተ፡ ዓለም።
