Digitised Manuscripts Available Online Elsewhere
This list aims at being a comprehensive resource for all available digitized Ethiopic manuscripts. This is only possible thanks to the contributions of many people. We would like to thank in particular Martina Ambu, Sophia Dege-Müller, Jacopo Gnisci, and Jonas Karlsson. If you know about digitised manuscripts that are not listed here, or would like to correct anything, please contact us by opening an issue or by sending an e-mail to a team member of Beta maṣāḥəft. This list was inspired by and developed upon the Digitized Ethiopian manuscripts online list maintained by Ted Erho. We have also included information provided on the page Digitized Ethiopic Manuscripts in Western Libraries. Thank you very much!
Some of the digitized manuscripts are hosted by the project Beta maṣāḥǝft; via our Mirador viewer we also link to manifests made available by other institutions like the Digital Vatican Library, Windsor Royal Castle, Berlin State Library, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, Princeton University Library, Library of Congress, Chester Beatty Library, Cambridge, Hamburg University Library, John Rylands Library Manchester, and many others, making their images available directly from Beta maṣāḥǝft catalogue and viewer instance.
