Origin
1847 According to Abbadie 1859, the text Content Item 1 ዘሄርማ፡ ነቢይ፡ (CAe 1594) was copied at Gʷalʿā (near Golʿa Dabra Bǝrhān Yoḥannǝs↗ ) on paper, for Antoine d’Abbadie [d’Arrast] bequeather , at the Catholic mission administered by Giustino De Jacobis , from an exemplar manuscript that came from Gunda Gunde↗ and was presumably dated to 1538. That manuscript has not been identified yet (possibly lost; it is thought to be different from a copy of the same text, Shepherd of Hermas, acquired at Gunda Gunde↗ later by A. Mordini ).
Acquisition
The manuscript entered the Bibliothèque nationale de France↗ in 1902.
