He writes the name (of) Jesus Christ on a leaf (of the book) whose name is ʾAragāwi (“Elder”) full of Spirit, Amen. This book was completed in 7000 (and) in 17 from the year of condemnation according to the reckoning of the Egyptians, in 7000 (and) 14 according to the reckoning of the Syrians and (according to) the Romans in 1000 and 500 and 17… (The embedded colophon refers to the translation of the work in the time of King Lǝbna Dǝngǝl (r. 1496/97-1540). The spine cover and the tailband are partly torn off. The back board is broken and repaired with four leather strips.
