Origin
1650-1750 (B.A.Edele in Edele 1995 )
Provenance
The manuscript was commissioned or owned by ʾabbā Salomon , a Beta ʾƎsrāʾel man, as his name and the name of his son ʾabbā Sanbat have been mentioned in the text. However, the name of ʾabbā Sanbat is erased and the name of Sirāk is written over the erasure. The manuscript was bought by Antoine d'Abbadie from a Beta ʾƎsrāʾel man "upon the latter's constant pleas", but his name is not mentioned.
