1650-1699 (dating on palaeographic grounds)
Provenance
The manuscript seems to have belonged to a church of ʾArbāʿtu ʾƎnsǝsā. This might possibly be identified with ʾArbāʿtu ʾƎnsǝsā↗ . From there it was taken by Tewodros II and brought to Madḫāne ʿĀlam↗ . It was then looted by the British Napier expedition in 1868.

The name of the original owner, Dama Krǝstos owner has been erased in the first third of the manuscript. In a few of the erased spaces, the name of Batra Māryām had been originally written (e.g. check the viewerFols. 24va, 32rb ). The names of ሚካኤል፡ and ፋሲካይት፡ have been written over the erasures. Rarely, ንጉሥነ፡ ኢያሱ፡, probably to be identified with ʾIyāsu I or ʾIyāsu II , has also been written above the erasure (e.g. check the viewerFol. 4rb ).
