He was a native of Ḥamāsen↗ , took his monastic vow in a monastery in Tǝgrāy↗ , and received his theological education and honorific title mamhǝr role: title ↗ probably at ʾAksum Ṣǝyon↗ . He joined ʾabuna role: title ↗ in 1841 who remained as his spiritual son in his retinue at Gondar↗ during the rest of Zamana Masāfǝnt. During the reign of Tewodros II↗ , he was also with ʾabuna role: title ↗ and followed him to the place of his detention at the royal fortress of Maqdalā↗ in 1867. Following the death of ʾabuna role: title ↗ in 1867, he joined to the court of Mǝnilǝk↗ , where he became the father confessor of both Mǝnilǝk↗ and his wife Bafäna↗ . In 1889, Mǝnilǝk↗ dismissed Tewoflos↗ and appointed in his place Gabra Śǝllāse↗ who was solemnly blessed as ʾǝč̣č̣age role: title ↗ by ʾabuna role: title ↗ .
Death
He died while still in the office of ʾǝč̣č̣age role: title ↗ and was buried in Dabra Libānos↗ .
