Condition
The lower pair of sewing stations has been repaired with a thread of vegetal origin. The leaves are stained with dirt along the lower margin showing the signs of intense use. The book is stained also with humidity. Few tears and losses are present on the pages.
Binding
Ethiopic bookbinding with plain wooden boards and a colorful textile chemise, preserved in its slip case.
Both boards are carved from a yellow wood. Chemise in pink cloth with a pattern of white flowers. A long stripe of textile is sewn to the tailcap and it extends in order to cover the three edges of the codex.Sewing Stations
4 Small holes are present close to the head and tail of the quires, prabably remains of the tackets. The first and the last quire. The quality of the parchment of the last quire differs from the the other quires. The book is conserved in a leather two-part slip case with a flap on the inner case and a carrying strap.Binding decoration

Pricking
- (Subtype: pattern) The layout corresponds to the pattern I defined by D. Nosnitsin: the text is written above the first ruled line, the vertical and horizontal pricks are visible and they are located in the margins. Probably, the pricking was made opening the quires in the middle and piercing the folios together.

- (Subtype: pattern) The layout corresponds to the pattern I defined by D. Nosnitsin: the text is written above the first ruled line, the vertical and horizontal pricks are visible and they are located in the margins. The template used for the pricking seems to be the same used for the previous quires but here two veertical lines are added in order to create two colums.
