( en ) This book was purchase by ʾabbā Za-Mikāʾel with his own money and was written by ʾAśrāta Māryām so that it might become for them a guide to the Kingdom of Heaven. Priests and deacons, do not take out this book from the sanctuary and do not spoil [it] as you spoiled many prayer books; may all the saints whose names are mentioned in this book be with the children of Dāmmo, major and minor; forever and ever. Amen.
The note is written on a single loose leaf attached to the inner side of the front board. Its ruling pattern is different from that of the manuscript. It is questionable if the leaf originally belonged to the book since its commissioner and scribe (different from those mentioned here) are known from the colophon. -
