Miniatures notes
- miniature:
check the viewerFol. 3v:
An angel with a sword and a crowned gun man in front of three persons.
Uncoloured miniature depicting an angel floating over seven granaries and unsheathing his sword. A crowned gunman seating in front of three persons. No legend is ascribed to the miniature but it might represent the following: the angel - Archangel Michael; the guard with a gun and crown - Joseph in prison while appointed as head of prisoners; the three figures in front of gunman – prisoners; and the seven granaries - the seven years of great abundance that Pharaoh dreamed (s. Gen. 41:29). - miniature:

An angel.
A seated angel stretching the right hand in a gesture of blessing and holding handkerchief with the left hand and flanked by four children. The angel is depicted on red background, green curtain and yellow carpet with red angular lines while his wings pained green and blue with yellow and red dots. He dresses green underclothes with red dots, yellow cloak with red flowers while his head is encircled by a yellow and red nimbus. The children dress green and blue clothes with red crosses. No legend is ascribed to the miniature but we can speculate the angel to be Archangel Michael because the text is all about him. - miniature:
check the viewerFol. 8v:
An angel saving the three children in the furnace.
Three children standing in the middle a furnace and stretching their hands and an angel floating over them. The angel is depicted with green and blue wings and the flame with radiant colour. Even if no legend is ascribed to the miniature, it depicts the miracle performed by Archangel Michael to save ፫ ደቂቅ, children in the furnace (s. fol. 6rb). In other manuscripts the miracle is performed by archangel Gabriel (s. QSM-024, miniature 16). - miniature:
