١٩٣٠ حتّى منتصف القرن العشرين From 1930 to the mid-twentieth century . ‘Our King’ (ንጉሥነ) Ḫāyla Śǝllāse I (r. 1930–1974) is mentioned on check the viewerfol. 30r . The text of the manuscript was written in Egypt↗ by several scribes: the unnamed scribe of Hand 2, Ḫāyla Māryām scribe of Hand 3, Gabra Śǝllāse scribe of Hand 4. The name of Gabra Mikāʾel, probably the commissioner and owner, is mentioned in the supplications. He might be identical to role: title Gabra Mikāʾel from Eritrea, associated with Dabra Bizan↗ and ʾƎndā ʾAbbonā (Dabra Ṭǝllul)↗ , who is mentioned in Additional note 1. However, the Arabic name imprinted on the spine, ? Mīḫāʾīl al-Ḥabašī (head priest Michael ‘the Abyssinian’), likely refers to yet another person.

Binding
Bound in Egypt. Cardboard covered with black textile, leather quarter cover. The spine is decorated with an imprinted gilded cross. The gilded title of the book in Arabic, صلوات, and the name of the owner القمص ميخائيل الحبشي (head priest Michael ‘the Abyssinian’) are imprinted on the spine below the gilded cross.
