The scribe Walda Muse scribe was active in the second half of the 19th century; he was a contemporary of ʾaṣe Yoḥannǝs IV (r. 1872-89) and Metropolitan ʾAtnātewos (in tenure 1869-76) (cp. According to Additio 1, Walda Mikāʾel and his wife Walatta Wahǝd commissioned the Ms. The note contains also the names of their children. All names are written in supplication formulas.

Legend: ቅዱስ፡ ሚካኤል፡ "Saint Michael". [ማርያም፡] ምስለ፡ ፍቁር፡ ወልዳ፡ "[Mary] with her beloved Son". ቅዱስ፡ ወገብርኤል፡ "and Gabriel". The miniature might have been produced for this Ms., but was added later (legends are written by the scribe Walda Muse scribe ?).

Condition
The back board (possibly not original) is broken and repaired. The leather cover is torn off from the front board. The Ms. was resewn with different threads. ff. 1 and 3 were inserted sideways. The text on check the viewer53v-54r , check the viewer59v is barely legible due to faded ink. check the viewerf. 66 (with the miniature) might have been produced with this Ms., but added later.
Binding
Two wooden boards (the back board broken and repaired) covered with reddish-brown leather (probably quarter cover preserved only on the back board and turn-ins on both boards). Two pairs of sewing stations.

Small holes are visible on the spine fold of the quires, close to the head and the tail of the codex.
