The scribe’s chosen aspect ratio for the codex combined with the script size forces the scribe to reduce the font size at the end of lines to avoid having to go onto the next line throughout the codex (5v–7r). But, where the line of text is still too long, the scribe completes the line of text above the end of the line (52v, 56r, 71v)
