He was a nobleman who in late1732 led a revolt against ʾIyāsu II↗ and the Qwārā↗ faction at court. He was one of ʾaṣe role: title Bakāffā↗ 's favoured officials, serving as bitwaddad role: titleTanśe Māmmo↗ in 1722 and as daǧǧāzmāč role: title Tanśe Māmmo ↗ and governor of Dāmot↗ . In 1731, ʾaṣe role: title ʾIyāsu II↗ appointed him ʾazzāž role: title Tǝnsāʾe Māmmo↗ of Yǝbabā↗ . He was angered by the maneuvering at the court upon ʾaṣe role: title Bakāffā↗ 's death in which Bǝrhān Mogasā↗ , wife of Bakāffā↗ , ʾIyāsu II↗ 's mother, and her Qwārā↗ n relatives hastily and secretly crowned ʾIyāsu II↗ , seizing control of throne and state. The rebellion he led lasted from 19 December 1732 to 2 January 1733 and involved eight days of siege of the royal compound. Tanśe and his allied group were finally defeated by Qwārā↗ 's forces. He was captured and publicly hanged in 1733.
