He was the well known journalist and novelist. He was also the editor of the Newspapers such as Addis Reporter, Manan and Addis Zaman. In his final years, he was one of the top officials of the military government who served as a Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Information.

He died at ʾAddis ʾAbabā↗ in 1984.
