A chart of the Tabernacle showing various chambers. In the inner, upper chamber are the Golden Basket (መሶበ፡ ወርቅ፡) containing manna, the Ark of the Covenant (ታቦት፡),the Censer (ማዕጠንት፡), Aaron’s Rod (በትረ፡ አሮን፡). In the inner, lower chamber are the table (ማዕድ፡), and the lampstand (ተቅዋም፡). In the outer chamber is the altar (ምሥዋዕ፡)
Note in pencil, presumably from Mercie Hazen Wolda Qirqos, about his father: “Alaqä Wäldä Qirqos of Lamwaša was born in 1858 EC, and died in 1914 EC, on Teqemt 10, and was buried in Däbrä Bǝsǝrat Zena Marqos.”

Encoding Description

Encoded according to the Beta maṣāḥǝft Guidelines. These Guidelines detail the TEI format ruled by the Beta maṣāḥǝft Schema. The present TEI file is enriched with an Xquery transformation taking advantage of the exist-db database instance where the data is stored and of the many external resources to which this data points to.
