This book, clearly produced in the late 20th or early 21st century, is a photographic reproduction of an Ethiopian codex. Its own measurements are 267 x 207 x 24 mm. Judging by the appearance of the letters, it may be that the reproduction is at or near a 1:1 ratio, however there is no way to be sure of this. The reproduction is bound as a western, hard-cover book with head and tail bands and end sheets. The end sheet pasted on the inside of the front cover is a photograph of the inside cover of the original codex showing leather turn-ins and a linen covering in between the turn-ins. The same is true of the inside of the back cover. On the front and back of the book are pasted photographs of the original cover of the leather-bound codex, though they appear to be turned around, i.e., the images in the tooled leather are upside down in relation to the body of the codex and it seems likely that the image of the cross was on the front (not the back) and the image of the church was on the back (not the front).
