The codex is composite, made by combining two sizeable codices into one. The first segment is comprised of quires 1–10. The scribe employs large and ornate harägs to mark the beginning of new works and sections. The second segment is comprised of quires 11–18 or 19. Quire numbers begin at f. 96 (quire 11) with quire number “one” and continue, 1–8, on the first folio of each successive quire, except the last quire, through the end of the codex. No harägs are used in the second segment

Encoding Description

Encoded according to the Beta maṣāḥǝft Guidelines. These Guidelines detail the TEI format ruled by the Beta maṣāḥǝft Schema. The present TEI file is enriched with an Xquery transformation taking advantage of the exist-db database instance where the data is stored and of the many external resources to which this data points to.
