-
Fol. 145v scrawls

Fol. 59r Several devices mark the midpoint of the psalms: 1) the letters of the words of the line are written in alternating red and black ink; 2) A symbol inside a box with the word, መንፈቅ፡; and 3) the word ዝየ፡ apparently added after the other indications
-
Scribal intervention: words of text are written interlinearly (folss. 11v, 21v, 33r, 34v, 62r, , etc.); and lines of text are written interlinearly (13v, 18v, 57r, 106v, , etc.); and in the fore edge margin with a symbol (+) marking the location where the text is to be inserted (f. 59r, line 9 ; f. 63r, line 13 ), and in another case where the symbol (+) is used interlinearly to point to a text written interlinearly ( f. 121r, line 14 ); erasure markings are visible (138v, 140v, 141v, , etc.); text has been removed (29v, 39v, 53r , etc.)
-
This scribe has avoided the problem of lines of text too long to fit on one line by adopting an aspect ratio that leaves ample room for the width of most lines. On a few occasions, the line would have been too long and the scribe finishes the end of the line with words written smaller so as to avoid leftover text (e.g., folss. 7v, 9r, 9v, 22r, 22v, ). Occasionally a line is still too long and has to be completed above or below the end of the line (e.g., 1r, 2v, 22r, 27r )
Decoration In this unit there are in total 3 s, 1 .
