Property of Lady Valeria Susie Meux of Theobald's Park, Waltham Cross, Essex. Lady Meux died in 191 I. After her death the whole collection was sold in 1911; many of the objects being bought by William Randolph Hearst, whose collection was sold at Sotheby's, 11-12 July 1939.
