Provenance
According to a letter from Ṭobiya Giyorgis Gäbrä Ǝgziʾabǝḥer to Stefano Borgia dated 19 December 1788, Ṭobiyā , who found the scroll in the library at Santo Stefano de' Mori, sent it to Borgia along with a description of its contents.
Acquisition
The Borgia collection entered the Vatican Library during the pontificate of Leo XIII (1878-1903).
