Period of Activity
He was a Christian Arab historian whose work was translated and incorporated into Ethiopian tradition. He wrote his Tārīḫ in between 1262-1268, which was translated twice during the reign of ʾaṣe role: title Zarʾa Yāʿqob and ʾaṣe role: title Lǝbna Dǝngǝl as ታሪከ፡ ወልደ፡ አሚድ.
Death
He died either in 1273 or in 1293 CE.
