General description
The Maṣḥafa qandil is the ritual for the Unction of the Sick in the Ethiopian Church. Each of its seven sections consists of the following elements: the lighting of a wick, a supplication, an epistle, the Trisagion, the Prayer of the Gospel with incensing and a mǝsbāk, a Gospel reading and a prayer.
