General information
description: There are two rivers known by the name ʾAngarab. This record refers to the so-called Small ʾAngarab (cfr. Great ʾAngarab↗ ) which rises a few miles north of Gondar↗ and flows southwards to join the Megeč̣↗ river, which in turn empties into the Lake Ṭānā↗ . The Small ʾAngarab and the Qāhā↗ river skirt the western and eastern sides of Gondar↗ respectively. They are the main sources of water of the city and they join south of Gondar↗ near ʾƎslām Bet↗ , before joining the Megeč̣↗ river.
