Period of Activity
He was the head of the community of Dabra Libānos↗ at ʾAzazo↗ four times, in 1710-11, 1718/19-24, 1728-32/33, and in 1740, under four successive emperors. Takla Hāymānot's successive appointments and dismissals seem to have been the result of hostility and discord between the monks of the community of Dabra Libānos↗ and the various emperors. He was in good relation with King Bakāffā↗ which may have been a source of tension between him and the monks. He participated in the theological controversies between the Tawaḥǝdo and Qǝbāt parties, as his position of ? required, supporting Tawaḥǝdo party.
