: ለጸሐፋ፡ ብክርታስ፡ ወለዘአንበባ፡ በኃሢሥ፡ ወለዘተርጐማ፡ በልሳን፡ ወለሰምዓ፡ ቃላቲሃ፡ በዕዝን፡ መንፈስ፡ በጸሎተ፡ እሙ፡ ማርያም፡ ኅርትምተ፡ አበሳ፡ ወርኵስ፡ ኅቡረ፡ ይምሐረነ፡ ኢየሱስ፡ ክርስቶስ። ይትባረክ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘአፈጸመኒ፡ በሰላም፡ ለምስኪን፡ ገብሩ፡ ሠርፀ፡ ማርያም፡ ዝንቱ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ተጸሐፈ፡ በ፲፻ወ፱፻፵ወ፯፡ ዓመተ፡ እምሥጋዌሁ፡ ለእግዚእነ፡ ኢየሱስ፡ ክርስቶስ፡ እምእግዝእትነ፡ ማርያም፡ በዘመነ: ዮሐንስ፡ ወንጌላዊ። ወበዘመነ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለንጉሥነ፡ ኃይለ፡ ሥላሴ፡ ወጳጳስነ፡ ቄርሎስ፡ ወበመስፍንነ፡ ወልደ፡ ማርያም፡ መፍቀሬ፡ ሰብእ፡ ወእንግዳ፡ ውእቱኒ፡ ያፈቅር፡ ሕዝቦ፡ ዘንዳ።: For the one who wrote it on the parchment and for the one who read it with inquisitiveness and the one who interpreted it with the tongue and who listened to its words with the spiritual ear. May Jesus Christ together with the prayer of his mother Mary, poor from guilt and filth, have mercy upon us. God shall be blessed who let me, the poor servant Śärḍä Māryām, finish the book in peace. It was written in 1947 year of the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ, from our Lady Mary, in the year of John the Evangelist, during the reign of our King Ḫayla Śǝllāse (r. 1930-74) and the tenure of Metropolitan Qerǝllos and of our governor Walda Māryām, a devotee of people and guests, and he loves the people of Zända.
