It cannot be excluded that the Ms. consists of only one production unit. Though having different ruling quire XIII might have been added to the text block simultaneously with the other quires. Text II-1 ends with a subscriptio (check the viewer83ra l.14-83vb) containing a supplication for the donor, whose name has been erased and replaced with that of different names. It begins with: ወሊተኒ፡ ለነዳይ፡ ገብርኤል፡ ዘአጽሐፍክዋ፡ በንዋይየ፡ ለዛቲ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ተዝካረ፡ ለሊቀ፡ መላእክት፡ ገብርኤል፡ ከመ፡ ይኵንክሙ[sic]፡ መርሐ፡ ... The miracles of St Gabriel are numbered (miracles 1-12).

Condition
The Ms. was probably rebound. The front board is broken and repaired. The leather cover is torn off (only turn-ins are preserved). check the viewer51-102 are affected by water. Holes or tears amended on check the viewer32 , 57, 80.
Binding
Two wooden boards (probably re-used), covered with reddish brown tooled leather (now for the most part missing). Two pairs of sewing stations.
Binding decoration
Small holes are visible on the spine fold of the quires, close to the head and the tail of the codex.
