check the viewer228v : ዛቲ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ዘቤት፡ ምካዕ፡ ስንክሳር፡… Written possibly in the main hand (?), the note is for the most part erased: only the two initial lines are readable. The note states that the Ms. belongs to the church of Bet Mǝḵaʿ; the name ʾIyasu also seems to be readable.

Condition
The leather cover is damaged at the spine and at the edges of the boards. The sewing is damaged. The fols. show traces of an intensive use. Some fols. are damaged by water (esp. fols. 1-16, 210-228). Tears carefully amended in check the viewer23 , 36, 118, 161, 165, 207.

Two wooden boards covered with reddish-brown leather cover. Two pairs of sewing stations.
Binding decoration
Small holes are visible in the centre fold of the quires, one close to the head, one close to the tail. Remains of tiedowns (s. check the viewer161v-162r ). Parchment guards reinforce quires A-I, II-III, IV-V, VI-VIII.
