Concluding prayer mentioning owner: Text: ዝ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ዘደጃች፡ አድማሱ፡ ወሰን፡ ወስመ፡ ጥምቀቱ፡ ኃይለ፡ ማርያም፡ ዘአጽሐፎ፡ በንዋዩ፡ በ፲ወ፱፻፵ወ፩ ዓመተ፡ ምሕረት፡ ጸሐፊሁ፡ ጌራ፡ ወርቅ፡ ወስመ፡ ጥምቀቱ፡ ተክለ፡ ጽዮን፡ ዘሀገሩ፡ ደብረ፡ ሊባኖስ። Translation: “This book belongs to Däja[zma]č Admasu Wäsän, whose baptismal is Ḫaylä Maryam. He commissioned it with his money on 1941 Year of Mercy [= 1948–9]; the scribe [wrote the book] Gera Wärq, whose baptismal name is Täklä Ṣǝyon of Däbrä Libanos.”

A note of ownership, by Däjazmač Admasu Wäsän, with: 1) elaborate information about the owner’s parents; 2) a statement of personal faith (see text and translation below); 3) a note gifting the Psalter to his son; and 4) a seal of ownership Text: ቀዳማዊ፡ ልደት፡ እምአብ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ እም፡ በመለኮት። ወደኃራዊ፡ ልደት፡ እምድንግል፡ ዘእንበለ፡ አብ፡ በትስብእቱ። አአምን፡ ፪ተ፡ ልደታተ፡ ከብረ፡ በተዋህዶ፡ ዛቲ፡ ይእቲ፡ ፍሬ፡ ሃይማኖትየ፡ ዘእመውት፡ ባቲ፡ Translation: I believe in His eternal generation from His father without mother in His divinity and in His later birth from the Virgin without the father in His humanity: I believe in these two births. He was glorified in his union. This is the fruit of my faith and I will die with it
