Provenance
The manuscript had very probably belonged to a church in the Gondar↗ area, from where it was taken by Tewodros II and brought to Madḫāne ʿĀlam↗ . It was then looted by the British Napier expedition in 1868.

ʾIyāsu I and Sinodā are mentioned in prayers on check the viewerfol. 92v ; ʾIyāsu I is also mentioned on check the viewerfol. 94r and in Za-yǝnaggǝś on check the viewerfol. 117v . This would point to a date of production between 1682-1692, however, William Wright judges it improbable that the manuscript is as old and assumes that the names were copied from an older manuscript.
