Drawing is made with ink, and is partly colored. Emperor Mǝnilǝk II riding on the horse, accompanied by servants and soldiers with guns and banners. The legend in the bottom right corner reads ጃንሆይ፡ ያንድ᎓ ቀን᎓ አይን᎓ ነውና᎓ እንዳይነውርብኝ᎓ የየካቲት᎓ ጊወርጊስን᎓ ያነገሱለት᎓ አይቼ᎓ ዛሬ᎓ ሰራሁት᎓ Your Majesty, this is an impression of one day; may it not become a shame for me. Today I have made (a picture of) what I saw when you enthroned (the tābot of) George in Yakkātit.
The drawing refers to Mǝnilǝk II attending the feast of introducing a George of Lydda into a new church ("enthroning of the tābot"), that probably took place at Gannata Ṣǝge Giyorgis↗ on the Saint's monthly celebration on 23 Yakkātit (= 2 March), after 1896 but before 1900. A Russian translation of the legend included into Turaev 1906a.
