He succeeded his brother, Yǝmām, one of Warrasek (Yaǧǧu) ruler in January 1828. He was intially apointed to rule Goǧǧām↗ but his violent and oppressive nature led to his removal. (internal)
Death
He died in the battle of Dabra Abāy, fighting against his principal foe Sabāgādis (Subāgādis) Waldu in February 1831 (internal)
