The manuscript was possibly sponsored by Gabra Ḥawāryāt donor ?. It was acquired by Konstantin Tischendorf during his third trip to the Orient in 1858-59.

Konstantin Tischendorf owner donated the manuscript to the Imperial Public Library in 1859.
