Origin
Original Location:
1872-1889 King Yoḥannǝs IV (f.6), Coptic Patriach Peter and Ethiopian Metropolitan Salāmā III , are mentioned in the prayers (for instance, f. 19v). The catalogue identifies Peter as the Coptic Patriarch Peter VII of Alexandria but this is uncertain since he died in 1852, before the ascension of Yoḥannǝs IV on the throne in 1872. Metropolitan Salāmā III died also before that date, in 1867.Provenance
. The name of the original owner, Ḫāyla Mikaʾel owner , appears on f. 19, is half erased. ʾAbuna Mǝneta Ṣādǝq owner is mentioned on ff. 43v, 52v etc. Collected by Alexander Orlov owner in Ethiopia.
Acquisition
The manuscript was acquired by the Asiatic Museum on 10 September 1903.
