The name of his father is Gabra ʾAlfa, the name of his mother is Walatta Yoḥannǝs and the name of his wife is Walatta Māryām. The names of his brother are Gabra Giyorgis, Ḥadära Māryām, Gabra Libānos. The names of his sisters are ʿĀmata [] Māryām, Walatta Māryām. May it be for them a guide to the Kingdom of Heaven. The one who stole it or erased (its text) shall be excommunicated by the authority of Peter and Paul. So be it. It was written in the year of John the Evangelist, during the tenure of our metropolitan Ṗeṭros and our King Mikāʾel, in 1908 year of mercy. 1908 year of mercy corresonds to 1915/16 A.D. King Mikāʾel (d. 1918 A.D.), also known as Mikāʾel ʿAli was an important ruler of Wällo and of northern Ethiopia. The metropolitan ʾabuna Ṗeṭros died in 1917 A.D.

Condition
The spine cover is partly torn off and repaired with a crude overback made of a piece of cloth. The sewing is damaged. The front board is loosely attached to the text block with a cord. The headband is partly torn off.

Two wooden boards covered with reddish-brown tooled leather; textile inlays. Two pairs of sewing stations.
