Rubrication: Nomina sacra; name of the protagonist and of other characters like Gabrǝʾel (fols. 9vb, 13ra, 59rb, 83rb, 91va) and Giyorgis (fol. 60vb); names of the donor and his wife; the word salām "salutation"; elements of the punctuation signs and of the text dividers; elements of Ethiopic numerals. Several groups of lines on the incipit page of Texts I-2, I-6, I-9 (alternating with black lines); several groups of lines in the incipit of Text I-4, I-8, I-11, I-12 (alternating with black lines); two initial lines of other sections and subsections of Text I, first word in the incipit of subsections (hymns), i.e. salām "salutation"; initial line of Text II and first word of each strophe. The rubrication is executed in different ink. The scribe of Text I has used crimson ink but left spaces for names to be rubricated frequently unfilled. These spaces were filled by the scribe of Text II (hand b) in brown or brown-black ink (e.g., fols. 38va, 62rb, 77rb, 79ra, 99rb).
