He was one of the sons of ʾaṣe role: title Dāwit II↗ and ʾǝtege role: title Ṣǝyon Mogasā↗ . He succeeded his father ʾaṣe role: title Dāwit II↗ in 1413 and reigned only for only nine months. In Fǝkkāre ʾIyasus, he is represented as a "king of the east" who will reign during 40 years of peace before the end of the world.
