Authorship
General description
According to Assemani 1719 the author is Giambattista Raimondi author . The Vocabulary lists terms apparantly encountered in poetic texts and is arranged by initial letter. The work is largely unfinished. Many Ethiopian words are given in a construct state, causatives or broken plural. The succession is different from the traditional order and may be seen as a modified ʾabugidā-type: አ፡ በ፡ ገ፡ ደ፡ ሀ፡ ወ፡ ዘ፡ ሐ፡ ኀ፡ ጠ፡ የ፡ ከ፡ ለ፡ ነ፡ ሰ፡ ዐ፡ ጰ፡ ፈ፡ ጸ፡ ፀ፡ ቀ፡ ረ፡ ሠ፡ ተ፡ ፐ፡ መ፡. Contrary to Assemani 1719 the work does not contain grammatical parts.
