He was a saint of 15th to early 16th century and a follower of ʾabbā ʾƎsṭifānos . Since there was a shortage of priests following the persecution of the Stephanites by King Zarʾa Yāʿqob , he was chosen by ʾabbā ʾAbakarazun , the head of the monastery of Gunda Gunde↗ to go to Jerusalem↗ in 1476.
