Incipit (Gǝʿǝz ):በስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ሥሉስ፡ አብ፡ ወወልድ፡ ወመንፈስ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ፩አምላክ። ንዌጥን፡ ጽሒፈ፡ ዘይነግር፡ ኍልቈ፡ ዓመታተ፡ ዓለም፡... ወታሪከ፡ ነገሥት፡ (…)ommission by Boris Turaev ዘአስተጋብአ፡ አብ፡ ክቡር፡ ወትሩፍ፡ ጊርጊስ፡ ወልደ፡ አሚድ፡ In the name of the triune God, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, one God. We begin the writing, which tells on the enumeration of the years of the World ... and the chronicle of kings which was compiled by the honoured and virtuous father Giyorgis Walda ʿAmid.
The first chapter is on the Patriarchs, the second chapter is on the Jewish kings, the third chapter is on the Samarian kings, the fourth chapter is on the Roman kings.
