He joined to court of King Susǝnyos↗ in 1612 and he served in the royal court until 1628/29. He was an Oromo by origin. He was one of the main royal chroniclers of the king. He was also the counsellor and intimate friend of King Susǝnyos↗
Death
He died in 1638 probably at Fogarā↗ where he lived for some years after he was dismissed from the office.
