He was born at Bulga↗ in 1904.
Period of Activity
He was the most prominent writer and government official during the reign of Ḫāyla Śǝllāse I↗ . He started to work for the government in 1921. Two years later, he was sent abroad by the government for further studies. He went first to Cairo↗ and then France↗ where he studied for six years. He served the Imperial government as a senior aid to ʾAsfā Wasan Ḫāyla Śǝllāse↗ from1933 to 1935, as Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture in 1946, later Minister of Agriculture in 1954, Minister of finance in 1958 and he became Minister of Public Works in 1961.
Death
He died at ʾAddis ʾAbabā↗ in 1978.
