He was born at Däbrä Sina↗ in 1936.
Period of Activity
He was a playwright, novelist, poet, university lecturer and translator. He graduated from the Arts Faculty of Ḫāyla Śǝllāse I↗ and earned his master degree from United States of America↗ . Returning to Ethiopia↗ he resumed teaching at ʾAddis ʾAbabā university and later joined the Ethiopian Standards Institute where he acted as a language expert. From that time on, he devoted much of his time to creative writing.

He died at ʾAddis ʾAbabā↗ in 1994:
