Period of Activity
10th / 16th century (d. 1595)Prominent Šāfiʿī jurist. He was favourably disposed toward the Ṣūfīs. He was on familiar terms with the famous Egyptian Ṣūfī ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Šaʿrānī (d. 973/1565). Al-Ramlī's son-in-law Abū al-Mawāhib (d. 1037/1628) was a son of the Ṣūfī leader and poet Muḥammad al-Bakrī (d. 994/1586)
