Miracle of Mary: Miracle of the Virgin Mary and the Lady Euphemia
Titles
- Miracle of Mary: Miracle of the Virgin Mary and the Lady Euphemia
- The widow who prayed to St Mary and saved her only son from death by hangingen
General description
The miracle of a criminal, whose mother had entrusted him to Mary and who was saved from execution by her intercessions, exists in many versions, whose relations are not well studied. This record refers to the version translated in Budge 1923c. Another version translated by Budge is Miracle of Mary: Miracle of a poor widow and her son who became a thief and was crucified. It is likely that more versions could be differentiated. The general ID to be used in cases were the precise version cannot be identified is Miracle of Mary: Miracle of a hanged brigand resuscitated because he loved the Virgin.
