Untitled Amharic treatise on the Christian faith
Titles
- Untitled Amharic treatise on the Christian faith
General description
The content, after the introduction, seems mostly based on the Hāymānota ʾabaw; in fact, this treatise in Amharic would appear to be some form of popular version of this work. Amharic is predominant and is mainly used for commentary and explanation, while Gǝʿǝz is employed for rendering the sayings of the fathers as well as for theological terms. The Amharic show signs of some "antiquity".
