General description
As a converted magician, a number of magical prayers are attributed to Cyprian of Antioch↗ . The Prayer of Cyprian is the main prayer, known in Greek, Latin, Syriac, Armenian and Georgian versions, cp. Bausi 1998b and Simon 1936. Both Arabic and Ethiopic traditions have a long and a short recension of this prayer, see Ṣalot za-qǝddus Qoṗrǝyānos and Ṣalot za-Qoṗrǝyānos ba-za-yǝśǝʿʿǝr manāfǝst rǝkusān wa-ba-za-yāwaggǝz sayṭānāt.
