General description
The Ethiopic Apocalypse of Baruch (5 Baruch) should not be confused with the Syriac Apocalypse of Baruch (2 Baruch) or the Greek Apocalypse of Baruch (3 Baruch). It was originally composed in Ethiopia and exists in a Christian and a Beta ʾƎsrāʾel version, which was purged of obvious Christian elements. ‘Baruch, Apocalypse of’, EAe, I (2003), 487b–488a (W.
