: ዝመጽሐፍ፡ ዘአቡነ፡ ገብረ፡ መንፈስ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ዖና፡ ማዕፆ፡ ተጽሕፈ፡ በዘመነ፡ አልቦ፡ በዘመነ፡ ሉቃስ፡ በመንግሥተ፡ ንግሥትነ፡ ዘውዲቱ፡ ወመሳፍኑ፡ ትግሬ፡ ራስ፡ ስዩም፡ ገበዙ፡ መምሬ፡ ገብረ፡ ተክሌ፡ ዋጋው፡ ፵፫ት፡ ብር። ጸሐፊሁ፡ አለቃ፡ አስፍሐ፡ {አኵሱም።} ዘሰረቆ፡ ወዘፈሐቆ፡ በሥልጣነ፡ ጴጥሮስ፡ ወጳውሎስ፡ ውጉዘ፡ ለይኩን።: This book is of (the church of) ʾabuna Gabra Manfas Qǝddus ʿOna Maʿḍo, that was written at the time (when there was no king), in the year of Luke, in the reign of our Queen Zäwditu and the governor of Tǝgre rās Sǝyyum (and) gabaz mämǝre Gabra Täkle. Its price is 43 Bǝrr. Its scribe is ʾalaqā ʾAsfǝḥa (of) ʾAkʷsum. Anyone who stole it or erased (its writing) shall be excommunicated by the authority of Peter and Paul. The colophon mentions the church of Gabra Manfas Qǝddus ʿOna Maʿḍo as the original owner. It mentions also the name of the scribe, ʾalaqā ʾAsfǝḥa (of) ʾAkʷsum. Queen Zäwditu (r. 1916-30) and the governor of Tǝgray rās Sǝyyum are also mentioned.
